DOMINO MAGAZINE SAYS FAREWELL VIA WEBSITE

On Friday, Domino editors left a parting note on their website. Along with the cover of the final March issue, they say thank you for the huge amount of support their audience has shown:

dear readers

It is with very heavy hearts that we say farewell. Over the last 4 years, in 28 issues, we have done our best to create a great magazine. We started with a real idea—that style is for everyone—and tried to carry it out with stories that provide inspiration and empower you to act on it. From your tremendous response, we know that we were onto something. In this tough economy, however, we simply weren't able to get the advertising support we needed.

As domino evolved, we never lost sight of our original democratic premise. Looking back at the manifesto we published in the premiere issue, the first tenet of domino is still the truest: Home should make you happy. We hope we have played a part in making this come true for you.

Love,
All the editors of domino

  1. Oh I'm still so sad about this. I can't believe it was only 28 issues. I'm so mad that I threw some out along the way.

I still don't know what I'm going to do with myself every month. What will fill the void? Ah.

***Also I'm a new reader and so happy I found your site. I'm really loving it and already added you on my blog roll!

  3. I'm very sad too. I will truly miss this publication, and my Domino Post-it tabs! The worst part is that they took my $$ just last month for another 2-years subscription! PLUS, I loved it so much I gave it as Holiday gifts this year! Now they won't respond to my e-mails and calls to the subscription department. And, there is no note in the mass e-mailing as to how we can approach these issues. Some blogs state we're getting a free subscription to another magazine? Who knows...they just said 'Bu-bye' and that's it!? Very disappointed. I have no choice but to dispute it with my credit card company. What a pain!
