CHICAGO DESIGNER ANNE COYLE INTRODUCES HER FESTIVE CANDY COATED COLLECTION OF FURNITURE

Photos Courtesy of Anne Coyle
Chicagoan Anne Coyle has recently launched a furniture line called Candy Coated. Oftentimes interior designers know what they want but just can't seem to find it. I applaud her for bringing her vision to the marketplace. Coyle likes to keep things clean and classic and feels that "there are times when a traditional curvy piece feels wrong, and a sharp edged, modern piece doesn't feel right either. We wanted to produce pieces that would feel right anywhere, and compliment a large range of furniture styles. The simplicity of the forms makes them almost "basics" , but the colors are what make them special. The idea of the "candy coated" came from both the happy, vibrant colors of the pieces, and also the hard shiny lacquer applied, which makes a shiny coating evocative of lollipops, hard candies, M and M's etc..." The collection, made in Chicago, is available through her Chi town showroom located at 2041 W. Wabansia Avenue, and on her website.

Faux snakeskin coffee table. Offered in a 4 different colors.

The rich color is girly and a perfect French moment when mixed with a zebra rug and sexy low chairs.

The Deconstructed Credenza makes bare wall space functional while breaking up shelf options.

The Conrad Table has a high lustre finish and crisp shape.

Her Companion Table is offered with a bottom and a shelf or without. It is bold yet clean which makes is a modern classic.

The red version is sharp.

The Companion Monogrammed Table in Aluminum leaf finish has storage galore.

Her Cube in electric orange works well next to low pieces and adds 60's pop.

A Console of clean lines is calling out for two great lamps and a stack of books.

The China Town Cabinet combines a classic Chinoiserie pediment with a clean base free of molding. The result is crisp and functional.

More room to store!

The rest of Anne Coyle's showroom displays well edited vintage pieces.

A neutral seating area with her upholstery makes her showroom a relaxed place to visit and stay awhile.

I am sure this little cutie makes a wonderful greeter!
