Books add richness to my life and to my home. They are like friends. I can always visit with them and they give me confidence and the push to try an idea, perhaps a fresh table-scape or room layout.
Guess you can never have too many friends or too many stylish books. Love to win any of these!
They would sit nicely with my collection.

Marisa what a great idea for a contest, incredibly creative. So many of us covet our favorite design books; like PVE said, like cherished friends. Looking forward to following the contest along! Happy Sunday to you ~ deb

Thank you for your enthusiasm PVE, Lindsey, Deb, Lisa and Sidney! This is going to be a lot of fun! Consider it extra credit! Enjoy and spread the word!
What a great contest Marisa - amazing way to get us to put on our thinking cap. I do have to say that one of the books that have inspired me the most is Casa San Miguel by Annie Kelly - the use of color in these images is so vivid that it takes me to San Miguel de Allende - and made me paint my living room wall red
What a beautiful and inspiring blog, Marisa. Thank you for bringing your keen eye and impeccable sense of style and design to me daily!
Marisa - great give-away! Books are a constant companion and source of inspiration - on so many levels - in an often "topsy-turvy" world!

I have No Ideas and one of my biggest problems is just making a Descision( even something simple , like choosing a color is hard for me)
I have a house and have been fighting for years on HOW to decorate it!! so, until I can learn to DECIDE, I have a little of this and a little of that!

I get inspiration from design books almost every single day. Fashion, interiors, you name it.
My home is jam packed with inspirational design books... I also love collecting vintage and antique books.... one book that inspired me so much - so much so that I wrote a letter to the author - was Rose Tarlow's The Private House. I can honestly say it's the first design book that I didn't just flip through looking at the wonderful pictures... I actually read it from cover to cover... still one of my all time faves. Thanks.
Ohhh I love this!! My favorite idea inspired from an interior design book is one that I got while reading in Barnes and Noble one day... I had been looking for a simple wall decoration to go over our bed. I love photography and our bedroom has a new floral theme, but I didn't want just a huge blown up flower on the wall... So, what I did was... take lots of pictures of close up flowers... I got 15 simple black frames with mats... and hung 15 pictures on the wall. All 8x10's... I connected all the frames with hooks and hung the finished product over the bed with 3 down and 5 across. I love the finished product. It looks like a huge piece of art work, but is really 15 separate pieces.
