Fresh and clean designs with a handmade touch are always welcome in the world of good design. Two Girls Arts, a new sister company to Two Worlds Arts the amazing tole accessories and furnishing source that does decorative painting on lanterns and such, has recently come out with a great collection of toleware lamps that look to the past to create lighting for the present. The designs were inspired by late 18th through the early 20th century earthenware and mochaware surface patterns. The hand-made metal lamps have a distinctly American sensibility, detailed with painted geometric and patterned designs, making them a fresh addition to classic interiors. The body of the lamps range from simple and classic shapes taken from pottery like hexagonal vase and jar shapes, faceted tea caddies, obelisks and urns. The lamps are hand made in New York City and available to the trade and retail through Two Girls Arts .
