PATRIOTIC STYLE: GET YOUR STARS AND STRIPES OUT

The Nantucket sits in Newport Harbor for restoration. For years, it sat in Nantucket Harbor, and my family and I spent many a dinner at Straight Wharf restaurant, eating Bluefish pate and watching it bob in the water, wanting to go aboard.

Cocktail hour will never be the same once you get this book. With 1930's mainstays like the Gin Fizz, The Savoy Cocktail Book has been re-issued with amazing illustrations. There are 750 recipes to choose from, you will be off to the races in no time.

Use this nice wooden Stars and Stripes Tray from Sur La Table to serve guests, or order a bunch and set each tray with a place setting to use at a buffet.

Leave a bowl of patriotic Tootsie Rolls from Oriental Trading for the neighborhood kids at your front door, and bring them to the fireworks display to give out so people will let you stand in front of them and get a better viewing spot.

Or put the candy in a pail and pass them out as party bags. Pails from Oriental Trading. The kids can them use them at the beach too.
