STYLISH STORE: CASPARI IN CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA

Photos courtesy of Caspari
The modern exterior of the one and only freestanding Caspari Design Store in the US (the other is at & Rue Jacob in Paris) integrates well with the historical brick buildings that surround it. Owner Lisa Milbank goes out of her way to fill the emporium with global goods-- she just returned from Maison et Objet.

Ready, set, shop! If you want to take a break from the plethora, have a seat on the sofa and take it all in. Ah yes, Stendhal syndrome. I have had that before!

The wrapping wall. Can I get one of these installed at home, please?! As purveyors of all things paper from tablecloths to place cards and note to playing cards, you will find designs from the archives of historic Williamsburg and the newer addition of super stylish Dabney Lee. They translate trends in home and fashion into au courant designs that are easy to use and easy to give as gifts.

Chinese Chippendale metal chairs sit in front of a well stocked tabletop area, while tole lanterns are suspended from the rafters.

So many napkins, plates, writing paper oh my!

Beautifully arranged vignettes around the periphery of the store make for a "voyage" through different rooms of the home; you feel like you are making stops in stylish shopping cities along the way.

Everything looks better on a pedestal, don't you think?

The array gets better at every turn.

Stop by if you are passing through C-ville, they are at 100 W. Main Street.
Tell them Stylebeat sent you!
