STYLEBEAT IS COMING TO ATLANTA WITH EDITOR AT LARGE

Courtesy of Editor At Large
Where will you be next Tuesday morning? I am hoping you can join us for a design talk all about new media at The Atlanta Decorative Arts Center.

Here's the scoop:
The Power of New Media: Building a Community in Design, at ADAC September 21st at 11am

With the onset of blogs, online magazines, personal and professional facebook pages and Twitter accounts, designers are connecting with editors, consumers and each other in a more efficient, more productive and more fun way than they did even a few years ago.

These online platforms — or new media — offer instant access to content any time, anywhere. In the new media world, anyone can create, publish, distribute and consume content. The content is dynamic, interactive, and community building. It provides designers to opportunity to be creative, grow their business in new directions, and to join a powerful growing community of like-minded professionals.

Learn from some local leaders of the new media including Jenifer Boles, Peak of Chic; Susan Barry, Hive Marketing; and Kimberly Ward, Pink Eggshell about how they use new tools and resources to create meaningful content, connect with designers, inspire readers, and push our industry forward. The Editor at Large's Marisa Marcantonio, who is the editor of StyleBeat blog, will moderate the discussion.

Although admission is complimentary, reservations are required and space is limited.
To be held in the ADAC presentation room
