HB HOME FINDS A NEW HOME IN KINDEL

Pat Healing and Dan Barsanti, the founders Westport, Connecticut-based interior design firm and shop, HB Home have a new collection with Michigan-based Kindel Furniture. The fresh American made designs, fretwork details, and easy silhouettes of the HB Home Collection were designed by the duo to fill a designer driven niche of usable well-scaled items they created for their clients. Working in light, cerused finishes, in woods like White Oak, the timeless forms in upholstery and case goods are "tried and true with a twist," says Southport resident Patricia Healing. Healing and Barsanti puts the focus on classic, crisp forms for easy living. The modern pared-down classics are so well executed, I think you will agree, this is a great addition.

A casual seating arrangement with pops of blue and white fabrics at the windows and sofa throw pillows. This design formula HB Home has brought them a following at their retail shops in Westport, CT, East Hampton, Lexington Avenue and Greenvale, LI.

A wide yellow and white stripe on the wall balances the vivid print on the upholstered chair.

A chest in a light finish and simple brass hardware sits alongside a comfortable reading chair.

Punchy over - sized brass bubble drawer hardware makes a statement in the same way a great bracelet does.

A mid-century modern inspired coffee table had an extra shelf for storage and really comes to life with the addition of sparkly accessories.

The Hazel Cabinet is a simplified classical piece, with two doors and adjustable shelves inside.
A queen bed with upholstered headboard, side rails and foot board, the Brett bed has many qualities of a custom piece.
A Neoclassic hall table has become essential in a large entry hall these days. The Shetland Library Table with white accents has hand carved feet that show Kindel craftsmanship at work. It has been a bestseller for years, and this fresh finish is sure to please.

The Serafina Side Chair in White Oak has a nice corner detail on the back and could be used in a hall or around a dining table.
Stella Lounge Chair has a tight back with a sloping curve.
The Elsa Ottoman works well with a chair or on its own. The raise square pattern on the leg ties it in with the rest of the collection as a signature element.
With a deep seat and channel upholstery, the Wedge Sofa has back pillows to sink into.
Four back pillows come with the roll arm Swing Sofa By the Inch.
The Marabelle Chest of Drawers in a Cerused Bark finish has a slight bow front and tailored curve at the base.

The solid brass hardware on the Mabel Nightstand reminds me of Dots Candy from childhood.
I can think of a million ways to work with the upholstered Chloe X Bench.

The narrow five shelf Baby Babette Fretwork Bookcase is great for city living and for its sunshine yellow color.

The more ample Babette Fretwork Bookcase in Cerused Oak and white could be put together to create a room divider or flanking a sofa.
Expecting company for dinner? The pedestal base Colby Dining Table comes with two leaves.
Nice feet! The early American - inspired Theo Round Lamp Table has nickel toe caps. And yes, it is a chic deep blue finish you see.

Smart! A tin liner makes using the Shutters Planter a snap.

Lacking nice ways to display that antique urn? The Hudson Shagreen Pedestal has you covered.

Hi Marisa, I am a recent reader to your blog and have really been enjoying it. I love the updates on beautiful traditional pieces, especially what looks like that cerused oak finish on the neoclassical table, and that chic navy finish (so of the moment) on the cap toe table. Lovely.
