What do you get when former staffer and creatives from Martha Stewart and Anthropologie get together and create a tea company? You get Bellocq, a beautifully packaged artisanal tea collection. With bright yellow packaging and sophisticated font play, the aesthetics evoke classic European packaging from a bygone era. Heidi Johannsen Stewart, a stylist and former Martha editor, Michael Shannon, a product designer who made Martha by Mail great, Young Yoon, and Scott Stewart, gallery owners and interior creatives, got together in the name of tea and there was no looking back. Their collaboration produced something so beautiful, the act of drinking tea may never be the same. Savoring every great tea they could find, the teas incorporate fine teas like Sicilian bergamot, Ceylon black tea, and pure tisanes from merchants around the globe. They began their retail Atelier with a shop on the Kings Road in London, but are coming to Greenpoint, New York any day now. Who knew tea could be so chic to give and to get?

The shots on their website are stunningly styled like a Dutch tableau
I wish every simple thing could be this beautifully photographed
The packaging doesn't instantly read tea, so giving it as a gift involves a little mystery
The seductive scent of rare ingredients
A wall of large canisters in canary yellow pop from their display wall
