OLIVER FURTH IS IN THE MAISON (DE LUXE)!

With a creative muse as his guide, 4th generation Los Angeles native Oliver M. Furth created a dark and moody bedroom for an edgy girl. I could see Lisbeth Salander from Girl With a Dragon Tattoo living here after a spending splurge.

Filled with art galore, Furth's room was inspired by this (probably) Balenciaga-wearing chicster. The centerpiece, "Cluster # 9" sculpture by Elyse Graham, is made of graphite covered balloons. They look like noir grapes with an attitude. I like to call Oliver a child prodigy, he is a mere youngster with major talent.

To create a focal point in the center of the room, he added a 1960s Italian Modern Center Table from J.F. Chen.

A Black Leather and Rock Crystal Desk by the ever-coveted John Dickenson from Modern One gives this cool chick a spot to write master works. J.F. Chen's 1960's Green Lizard-clad Klismos Chair is her perch. Hot.

A fab plexi cabinet, Frequency, by Mattia Bonetti from Michael Smith's Duke & Duke Gallery is filled with cool objects. Walls are covered in Holland & Sherry Graphite boiled wool, the perfect backdrop for framed paintings and prints.

Every inch of wall space is filled with framed art. The takeaway here? Hang art salon style to create an impact. The more the better.

A dodecahedron bar contains the party. A glossy ebony floor of stretched black rubber created by Chelsea O. Production Design adds an oil slick runway, very gallery-esque.

A "Lumiere" Light Fixture by Jean de Merry glows in the entry way like a spiny sea urchin.

A beautiful sleigh bed from Michael Smith and a Serge Moulle lamp adds a hit of mod.
