Going from the world of beauty to home, Aerin Lauder's lifelong passion for home design, art and travel culminates in a big debut. After seeing the home introductions that AERIN has created for her new lifestyle collections, it has been interesting to see the stylistic evolution as a whole. With the biggest debuts shown here, the refined elegant story of her designs is conveyed. Accessories include gold dipped shells and shagreen boxes, fabrics are sumptuous versions of the classics done with Lee Jofa, understated rugs were also done in tandem with Lee Jofa, shimmery and sparkly lighting in gilt and crystal were designed with Visual Comfort, and furniture created with E.J. Victor. The varied assortment is rooted in the classics, but hard to pin down as traditional, vintage inspired or modern, so lets just call it updated classic. The fabrics range from elaborate, involved cut velvets to crisp tree of life prints on cotton and I feel, make the biggest impression. Not everyone is in the market for a statement Mahogany bar cabinet on a raised gold base, but fabrics allow for many interpretations and uses.

The best part is seeing how the uber creative stylist Michael Reynold's chose to style the moments- they each have something completely different to say. But the stylistic pendulum swings from minimalist to maximalist. There is another side to the AERIN line that is not captured in these shots, a carefree and easy beachy vibe portrayed through turquoise mid - century modern ceramic lamps, sharp floral prints, and toned-down furnishings. The line can go posh city classic six or country beach house. The furniture and lighting become available in September, so in the meantime, you can find her fashionably designed shoes, jewels, sunglasses, candles and accessories on her website.

The giant blue and white chevron print is such a powerful force, and I love the gilt bamboo standing lamp and coffee table with Greek Key leg it is paired with. I love an upholstered leg, and this Bridgewater style sofa is a great investment piece.
You can't go wrong with an ever-useful gilt etagere.
