Utilizing social media, more and more companies are harnessing the power of exclusive launches. In an interesting turn, Kate Spade has turned Martinique, the iconic giant banana leaf wallpaper used on the walls of the Beverly Hills Hotel and New York's Indochine, into a limited edition pillow.  One side features the lush green leaves printed on canvas, the other, a skinny black and white stripe. If you like Kate Spade on Facebook you can order it, or click here.

The pillows were created with Designer Wallcoverings, using the classic old-school tropical print. The enormous leaves on a cream ground pattern was designed by Don Loper for the hotel and first hit the scene in 1942 . Another version called Brazilliance was later designed by Dorothy Draper and used in the Greenbriar resort.

Indochine, seen by the bright light of day, usually seen in its sexy, dimly lit state.
