GOTTA GO TO PORTHAULT

Tis the season for amazing post- holiday sales. Two times a year, the French linen company known for it's bold and colorful floral prints has a sale well worth attending. The companies American-owners since 2005, Joan and Bernard Carl, recently received a Légion d'honneur award from French President Nicolas Sarkozy for their commitment to producing in France and reviving the historic brand. They have been hard at work creating great new archival print accessories and sheeting with the signature colored flange that sets it apart from the rest, making it one of the best.

DETAILS: D. Porthault’s White Sale will offer discounts from 40% to 90% off retail prices, in addition to special archival prints made especially available for the White Sale. Must-have items include sheeting, terry, accessories and robes in D. Porthault’s signature florals and prints. For example a queen bed set that was $1400 will be $700, shams that were $250 will be $100.

Has anyone ever been to this sale? What sort of selection is available? Is most of the store on sale, or just a very small selection of linens?
